HTC just announced its next handset U11 a few days back. The smartphone is expected to go on the shelves of marketplaces and top stores in the United States and other countries by the end of June this year. HTC U11 will make its initial entry with Android 7.1 out of the box, but the good news is that the handset will officially see the next two versions of Android software.
According to Phone Arena, the latest Android smartphones usually sees software update for next 2 years after their launch. HTC U11 will also witness the same. And therefore, it can be said clearly that HTC U11 is sure to have Android O which is expected to be released by the end of summer 2017. HTC’s executive Chailin Chang confirmed that HTC U11 would be enabled with “updates to the next two versions of Android.”
This clarification also made this clear that apart from getting the updates of Android O, HTC U11 will also see the software update of Android P, which is hinted to come in the second phase of 2018. Chang further stated that the company “may extend support to the next three versions of Android” for its HTC U11. Which indicates the smartphone might witness the software extension up to Android Q, which is thought to be released by the mid-point of 2019.
Chang’s statement are enough to make HTC U11 a buying worthy smartphone for those who are fond of software updates and new OS features. Though, the third advancement depends much upon the smartphone’s hardware and software peripherals. According to Indian Express, HTC U11 will boast a superlative range of specs.
The smartphone will be powered by Snapdragon 835 processor. As for display, the smartphone will flaunt 5.5-inch WQHD LCD panel with highest resolution capacity up to 2560×1440 pixel. All and all, HTC U11 would be a one of kind masterpiece, according to potential sources.
